Explore the innovative Impex Records jazz vinyl LP of The Dave Brubeck Quartet with Time Further Out: Miro Reflections, originally released in 1961. Inspired by the rhythms and visual art of Spanish painter Joan Miró, the album moves through unusual time signatures, from the waltz rhythms of “It’s a Raggy Waltz” to the distinctive 7/4 groove of “Unsquare Dance.”
This Impex Records 180g vinyl reissue was mastered by George Marino from the original analog tapes and pressed at RTI. Featuring Paul Desmond, Eugene Wright, and Joe Morello, it is a standout for jazz lovers and audiophile collectors.
"The album is an absolute delight that keeps surprising as it unfolds into tracks such as "Far More Drums," "Maori Blues," and the Mingus-like human percussion heard in "Unsquare Dance." Impex's reissue is excellent... Great stuff." - Wayne Garcia, The Absolute Sound, Janaury 2011, Issue 209
