Frank Sinatra’s groundbreaking and highly successful album, Duets, was originally released in 1993 and was referred to as “The Recording Event of the Decade.” Certified 3x-platinum, Duets brought together an array of global superstars including Charles Aznavour, Anita Baker, Tony Bennett, Bono, Natalie Cole, Gloria Estefan, Aretha Franklin, Kenny G, Julio Iglesias, Liza Minnelli, Carly Simon, Barbara Streisand and Luther Vandross for an album of standards including many songs instantly associated with the “Chairman of the Board.”

Duets made history for its cutting-edge recording techniques, it’s renowned stars and for being one of the top-selling albums of 1993, putting the then 77-year-old Sinatra at the No. 2 spot on the Billboard charts between Pearl Jam’s Vs. and Meatloaf’s Bat Out Of Hell II.

The highly successful follow-up, Duets II, was released the next year. Duets II includes Jimmy Buffett, Neil Diamond, Lena Home, Chrissie Hynde, Antonio Carlos Joblm, Patti LaBelle, Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme, Luis Miguel, Lorrie Morgan and others. Once again, Sinatra celebrated a Top 10 record with Duets II charting at No. 9 on Billboard‘s Top 200 chart.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of this groundbreaking, multi-platinum selling album, Capitol/Universal Music Enterprises has released a newly-mastered edition featuring the original Duets and Duets II together in one package.
