Oyaide C-079 IEC Power Connector – 24K Gold
The Oyaide C-079 IEC Power Connector uses buff-polished deoxidized phosphor bronze contacts with thick 24K gold plating. Its PBT body with 30% glass fiber and polycarbonate cover provide a rigid housing. It supports cables from 6.0 to 16.0 mm and conductors up to AWG10 / 5.5 sq mm.

The Oyaide C-079 IEC Power Connector combines buff-polished deoxidized phosphor bronze contacts with thick 24K gold plating. Its body uses PBT with 30% glass fiber, while the polycarbonate cover provides a rigid outer housing. Moreover, the screw-type design supports secure cable assembly. The C-079 accepts cables from 6.0 to 16.0 mm and conductors up to AWG10 / 5.5 sq mm. It is rated at 250V/16A CE and made in Japan.

Contacts
The basic material is 1.4mm thick deoxidized phosphor bronze for strength and secure contact. When connected, they can take over 7kg load. Surface is thoroughly polished twice.
Plating
The manufacturing process is started from foundation coating. The material which was punched out as a part is polished by hand piece by piece after machined barrel-polishing.
The plating of the P-079/C-079 is 24k Gold.
Generally, 18k gold plating applied for industrial use is actually "gold alloy" due to enhancing its corrosion resistance property and durability. However, since we regard its sound quality as the most important priority factor, pure gold plating without nickel, cobalt and bismuth is selected for the plating of P-079/C-079.

Inner Body
30% glass filled PBT has excellent machine-ability and provides superior electrical isolation. The highly rigid body of the P-037/C-037 effectively attenuates high-speed vibrations. All screws, which were originally designed for P/C series, are made of highly rigid stainless steel which is non-magnetic substance. Moreover, the cable cannot be separated from the plug by a force less than 30kg, a significant safety feature.
Stainless Screws
The screws of P/C series are all made of highly rigid stainless so its screw head doesn't collapse even if you give them too much strength. In addition, because it is non-magnetic material, it helps to achieve high S/N ratio without being magnetized at its connection part.
Outer Housing
The outer cover of P/C series is made of PC (Polycarbonate) for its rigidity and hardness. It helps to attenuate tiny vibrations in quick response and reduce distortions by its superior mechanical strength.
